DCC Decoders

This function-only decoder is designed for any scale where extra lighting features and functions are needed. These decoders are commonly used for smoke coils, fireboxes, or step lights.  Note: FL-series decoders do not provide motor control. A separate decoder must be used for motor function. Function Only: This decoder only has function control for lighting, and does not provide sound or motor control.  DC Mode: Decoder will automatically detect DC power. The WOW121 is a universal sound decoder for locomotives with DCC-ready 21-pin MTC connectors, and can also be used with any of TCS’ motherboards. The WOW121 requires a motherboard to interface with the locomotive. The motherboard will determine the support for the number of lighting functions as well as the type supported (LED or 12V/1.5V bulbs). A WOW121 decoder will support up to 8 lighting functions. If you are using a speaker with less than 1 Watt power rating, you must reduce your volume to prevent speaker failure or amplifier stress. Speaker enclosures greatly increase speaker performance in most cases.
