SoundTraxx SoundTraxx 885622 | BLU-2200 Blunami EMD-2 Sound Decoder | Multi Scale
Blunami will change the way you enjoy the model railroading hobby! The Blunami BLU-2200The BLU-2200 is a universal-style sound decoder that can be operated in three different ways: DC, DCC and Wireless mode. Using the Blunami app (iOS versions 8 or later), you can operate your locomotive with incredible ease of use. This decoder is suitable for use in both HO and small S-scale models. Wireless mode not currently available for android devices. DYNAMIC DIGITAL EXHAUST For added realism, you’ll love SoundTraxx's reactive Dynamic Digital Exhaust (DDE) feature that automatically notches your models engine up or down depending on the load on the motor. With the Blunami App, DDE calibration has never been easier. When your locomotive is traveling across flat terrain and simply maintaining speed, you will hear your locomotive chugging along. But, when the locomotive encounters a grade and the engineer applies more throttle to get the train up the hill, the engine sounds will automatically react and reflect the increase of power needed to crest the hill. DDE accomplishes this by calculating the changes in strain or load on the motor and adjusting the exhaust to appropriately simulate the work the engineer would be doing to the throttle of the engine. This gives Blunami the ability to create the most realistic experience possible. HIGH QUALITY SOUND LIBRARYSoundTraxx's large selection of high quality sound effects include: 10 Exhaust Chuffs Up to 12 Prime Movers in each sound profile Up to 12 Bells 90 Whistles 40+ Airhorns Additional couplers, dynamos, cab chatter and more! ADDED REALISMAdditional realism can be simulated by adding functioning locomotive and train brakes, injectors, power reverse, firebox flicker and more. EASY INSTALLATIONThe BLU-2200 can simply plug into models equipped with a DCC quick plug. Our 9-Pin JST to NMRA 8-Pin Wiring Harness (P.N. 810135) can also be used to plug the BLU-2200 into models equipped with an NMRA 8-Pin plug. The BLU-2200 can also be wired into a large variety of models. This 2-amp, universal-style format, and includes a connector to easily add a CurrentKeeper (P.N. 810140 or 810160) to maintain performance over dirty track and switches. The EMD F7 is a 1,500 horsepower diesel locomotive built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division between 1949 and 1953. The F7 was EMD's fourth model in the line of F-unit locomotives, and was by far the best-selling cab unit of all time. The F7 primarily differed from the F3 in internal equipment, but there were some noticeable external changes such as the grills and the dynamic brake hatches. F7's operated in both passenger and freight service, and many of them remained in service for decades. In this production, we are modeling A and B-units from eight railroads with prototypically accurate road numbers and paint schemes. We are offering A-B sets with Powered A-units (w/ Paragon4 Sound) and unpowered B-units, and also separate single A and B-units with our full Paragon4 DC/DCC/Sound system. Broadway Limited Imports Broadway Limited 7237 | UP Big Boy #4014, Promontory Excursion, Glossy Finish, Challenger Excursion Tender, Paragon4 Sound/DC/DCC, Smoke | N Scale
Often called the largest steam loco ever made, and certainly a contender for the Worlds Most Famous Locomotive, the Big Boy was forged under some of the most strenuous demands ever placed on a locomotive. The UP Railroad needed a locomotive that could be used to pull a 3,600-ton train over Sherman Hill and the 1.14% grade from Ogden to Wasatch, Utah without the need for helpers. When the design specifications were complete, it was decided on the use of a simple articulated, high speed, 132 ft. long locomotive sporting sixteen 68 diameter drive wheels. What they created was the longest and among the heaviest, most powerful steam locomotive legends in the world. And had not the worker at ALCO chalked Big Boy on the side of the smoke box of one of the 4-8-8-4s under construction, a name that immediately caught on, it is rumored that the name of the type would have been Wasatch, for the mountains they were built to conquer. Quote from Worlds Greatest Steam Locomotives by Eugene L. Huddleston: There were 25 locomotives fabricated in two different groups. Class 1 were locomotives #4000-4019 and Class 2 was numbered 4020-4024. The first Big Boy #4000 was delivered to Omaha, NE on September 5, 1941. The Union Pacific Railroad's commitment to the Big Boy required them to replace the lighter rail and straighten out many miles of track for clearance as well as to resize elements of their service areas (such as turntable lengths, etc.) for the entire line these locos would run on. The Big Boys demonstrated fantastic strength and speed as they faced these challenges throughout their storied careers. With the total mileage on the Big Boy fleet being approximately 1,000,000 miles for each locomotive, one must say that they earned their reputation. Several examples remain in museums around the country but silently they sit as a visual echo to the thunder that once made them revered throughout the landscape that the Big Boys dominated. In our first production of this model in N scale, BLI is modeling the Union Pacific Big Boy with these notable features: Accurately modeled front end with appropriate aftercooler system for each class Accurately modeled 25-C-100 and 25-C-400 tender, appropriate for each class Accurately modeled oil tender for #4014 which operates in excursion service today Two models painted in attractive two-tone gray paint schemes that the Big Boys never received in real life Industry-leading Model Features: Paragon4 Sound & Control System featuring ROLLING THUNDER Integral Dual-Mode Decoder with Back EMF for Superb Slow Speed Operation in DC and DCC Precision Drive Mechanism Engineered for Heavy Towing and Smooth Slow Speed Operation Operating Smoke Unit with On/Off Switch Six Drivers and All Tender Wheels Pick-up Electricity from Track Die Cast Locomotive Body with Die Cast Chassis for Heavier Weight and Maximum Tractive Effort Rubber Tires on Two Drivers for Additional Tractive Effort Premium Caliber Painting Prototypically Accurate Paint Schemes and Road Numbers Many Separately Applied Details such as Handrails, Grab Irons, Piping, Tender Ladders, Whistle, and Bell Prototypical Headlight and Rear Light Operation Separately Controllable Cab Light and Lighted Numberboards Prototypically Accurate Sounds for the Union Pacific Big Boy Operating Microtrains-compatible Couplers Will Operate on Code 55, Code 70, and Code 80 Rail Minimum Operating Radius: 9.75 inches Broadway Limited Imports is proud to introduce Paragon4: The new benchmark for premium HO sound-equipped locomotives. ESU LLC ESU 58751 | LokSound 5 Micro DCC Direct Sound and Control Decoder - Board Replacement Decoder for Atlas Legacy Diesel and Others | N Scale
By default, this decoder does not come with a pre-programmed Sound Profile. Nevertheless, we provide complimentary Sound File programming for all ESU decoders. Please be aware that opting for Sound File Programming in your order might result in a shipment delay of 1 to 2 business days. Visit this link to preview ESU Sounds The LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct has been specially developed for installation in N gauge locomotives of the Atlas and Intermountain brands: it can be inserted directly instead of the analog board installed there as standard. However, the decoder can also be used for similar models from other manufacturers at your own discretion. The LokSound 5 micro DCC Atlas Legacy is also a “direct style decoder developed for early (before 2016) Atlas, Intermountain (and others). The decoder was made for locos produced before sound was added during production. This replaces the popular ESU 73100 Select Direct Micro. Both the LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct/Atlas Legacy with their dimensions of 66.0mm x 8.2mm are pure DCC decoders and come without a loudspeaker. Modes The LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct/Atlas Legacy are both “pure-bred” DCC decoders. 14 to 128 driving steps are as self-evident as 2- and 4-digit addresses. Up to 32 functions can be triggered. Thanks to RailComPlus®, the decoders log in fully automatically to a suitable digital center. It masters all DCC programming modes and thanks to RailCom® the CV values can be read out on the main track with suitable control panels. Auxiliary registers exist for control panels that can only program the CVs from 1-255. The LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct/Atlas Legacy Decoders detect the Märklin® brake distances as well as ZIMO® HLU / ZACK commands or the Lenz® ABC system. Braking with DCC brake blocks or dc voltage is also possible. In addition, it also stops with a Selectrix® brake diode. An AUTOMATIC ABC commuter train allows automatic commuting between two stations. The LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct/Atlas Legacy decoders can be used on analog DC layouts. The decoders switch “on-the-fly” fully automatically between operating modes. Most of the time, nothing needs to be adjusted. Sound The LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct/Atlas Legacy decoders can play up to 12 channels simultaneously. Each channel can be resolved with up to 16 bits / 31250 kHz and offers hi-fi quality on your system. There is virtually no difference to the original audible anymore. A Class-D audio output stage with up to 3W output power controls the speakers, which have between 4 ohms and 32 ohms impedance. A 128 Mbit sound memory provides enough capacity. All individual noises can be adjusted individually in the volume. The super-flexible sound engine without a rigid schedule allows the exemplary simulation of all conceivable rail tracks. Functions The LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct/Atlas Legacy decoders have up to 10 directly soldered LEDs. Two of them are intended for front and rear head lighting, two more are connected to the aux3 and aux4 outputs to switch e.g. number boards. A further 6 LEDs on the bottom are intended for ditch lights, but can also be used for other lighting purposes on request. All important lighting functions are available. The brightness of each output can be set separately. Motor Control The motor control of the LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct/Atlas Legacy decoders have a variable PWM clock frequency from 10kHz to 50kHz, which ensures super-quiet operation, especially for bell anchor motors – the hitherto typical “hum” is a thing of the past. The load control can be adapted to difficult cases with up to 10 CVs. The unique “Autotune” function allows the decoder to be automatically measured against the motor. The LokSound 5 micro DCC Direct/Atlas Legacy decoders deliver up to 0.9A motor power. Protection Of course, the outputs are protected against overload. We want you to enjoy your decoder for as long as possible. Broadway Limited Imports Broadway Limited 7580 | EMD GP30 - Sound and DCC - Paragon4(TM) - Union Pacific #844 | HO Scale
Enjoy complimentary shipping!Bundle your purchases for even more savings with our free shipping option. (This offer is optional) The EMD GP30 is a 4-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between July 1961 and November 1963. A total of 948 units were built for railroads in the United States and Canada. The GP30's were designed to compete with GE's U25B. The U25B offered 2500 horsepower, while the existing EMD GP20 was only rated at 2,000 hp. The EMD's engineering department ended up using a 16 cylinder 567D3 engine that produced 2250 hp for the GP30. They also made several improvements on the GP20 design meant to match the U25B - a sealed airtight long hood, a single central air intake, and easier access for maintenance. These changes required more space behind the cab, and this was achieved vertically by raising the height of the locomotive, providing space for the central air system, the turbocharger, and electrical cabinet. This increased height meant a new body was required. EMD wanted the new body to be modern and updated, so the GM Automotive Styling Center created the GP30's unique "hump" and cab roof profile. In our first production, we are modeling eleven railroads and twelve distinct paint schemes - all models with prototypically accurate road numbers and paint schemes. The USRA Heavy Mikados used pretty much the same running gear as the Light Mik's, but the boilers were 10 inches larger in diameter and they had larger cylinders as well. Tractive effort was about 10% higher for the heavy 2-8-2's.As for the USRA Light Mikados, the USRA built 625 total, with 641 copies built after the USRA ended control. With copies, over 50 railroads used the USRA Light 2-8-2's.BLI's models follow the original designs closely. Railroad specific variations are not modeled on these locomotives.
