Corn syrup is used in baked goods, candies, beverages, canned fruits and vegetables and pharmaceuticals. The liquid is transloaded from tank cars to storage tanks, then into tanker trucks for delivery to industries. Corn syrup benefits from steam heat to help it flow so small boilers are a common feature of sites like this. Trucks pull into the transfer garage to make the transload under cover from the weather.
