Description

The WalthersProto 920-11206 is an 85' Amfleet I coach in Amtrak Phase II paint with decals (number-it-yourself) — a museum-quality HO model of the high-capacity 84-seat corridor coach. The "Decal" version lets you apply your own road number for a fleet of matching cars, or to model a specific prototype consist. Phase II is the classic red-white-blue scheme Amtrak used from the late 1970s into the 1990s.

FAQ

What does "(Decal)" mean?
The car is painted in the full Phase II scheme but ships with a decal sheet so you apply the road number yourself — ideal for building a fleet of matching coaches with sequential numbers or matching a specific prototype train.

What's the difference between Amfleet I and Amfleet II?
Amfleet I cars (like this) are short/medium-distance corridor coaches — more seats, two doors per side. Amfleet II cars are the long-distance version with fewer, roomier seats and a single door per side.

Does it have couplers and metal wheels?
Yes — ships ready-to-run with knuckle couplers and metal RP-25 wheelsets.

What era is Phase II?
Phase II is the red-white-blue scheme Amtrak used from the late 1970s into the 1990s — perfect for modeling Amtrak's classic corridor era.
