It's Lionel's modern modular wiring system that uses keyed connectors instead of bare wires. Power, accessories, and switches all use the same PE-P plugs.
Do I need this if I already have a terminal section?
Only if you want to use the PE-P system. If your transformer has bare-wire terminals, the standard 6-12016 FasTrack Terminal Section works fine.
Does the PE-P cable come with this?
