Introduced in the 1970s, these rugged cars were built for dense bulk commodities: gravel, crushed stone and sand, the sort of loads that need capacity rather than weather protection, so an open top does the job.

They are a common sight on aggregate trains and local freights, and plenty of them are still earning their keep today.

Pick your terms at checkout: pay in full, or pay a 10% deposit with the balance invoiced before it ships. Either way your unit is held for you.

Yes. Metal knuckle couplers and RP-25 turned-metal wheelsets are factory installed, so it goes straight on the layout.

Does it come with a load?
No. The Chooch cast resin gravel load (214-7292) is made to fit this car and is sold separately.

Can I run it with my existing cars?
Yes. It is standard HO with metal knuckle couplers, so it couples to anything Kadee-compatible.
