Does the kit need glue and paint?
Yes. This is an unpainted Cornerstone styrene kit that requires plastic cement for assembly. The molded brick walls take washes and weathering powders well — a base brick color plus a black wash on the smokestack does most of the heavy lifting.

How much layout space does it need?
The main building footprint is roughly 9 x 9-3/8 inches. Add the canopy and an optional crane track and most modelers plan on a 12 x 14 inch corner of the layout for the full scene.

Is the overhead crane included?
No. The roofed craneway shed is included, but the actual overhead crane is sold separately. Walthers' Cornerstone craneway accessories drop right in.

What industries does this fit?
Anything heavy — steel fabrication, foundries, machine shops, boiler works, or general manufacturing. The architecture is generic enough that custom signage and weathering can sell almost any prototype.
