Important! One side of each bronze electrical pickup is marked with a red dot. This red dot indicates the side that picks up the current from the track. When installing the Pickup Trucks on your rolling stock These marks MUST be on opposite rails otherwise an electrical short will occur and the Pickup Trucks may be damaged!

Insufficient connection between bronze pickups and axles |
Check that bronze pickup fingers are touching axle |
Capacitor needed |
A capacitor may be needed to stabilize voltage. (see Kadee HO Pickup Truck Wiring Diagram) |
Derailments |
Uneven pickup tension on axles |
Check that all bronze pickups have equal tension against axle |
Crooked or kinked pickup wire |
Check that pickup wire is not binding where it protrudes through the floor of the car |
