FAQ
What's the difference between this and a remote/powered switch?
This is manual — you throw the lever by hand. Powered FasTrack switches add a motor and controller for remote operation. Manual switches are simpler, cheaper, and reliable for sidings or low-traffic spots.
Can I add power to this later?
Lionel sells a 6-12029 add-on switch motor that can be retrofit to manual switches if you decide to automate later.
Left hand vs right hand — which do I need?
Left hand: diverging route goes LEFT when entering from the points end. Right hand is the mirror. Use whichever direction your siding leaves the mainline.
