The Digitrax DH127D is a Series 7 mobile decoder for HO scale, supplied with a bare 9-pin harness socket rather than a plug. That makes it the one to reach for on hard-wired installs and older locomotives with no DCC socket: you pick the harness that suits the job, or solder directly. One amp continuous with two amps peak handles any normal HO motor.

What is the difference between the DH127D, DH127P and DH127PS?
Only the harness. The DH127D has a bare 9-pin socket and no harness. The DH127P adds a medium 8-pin plug on about 3.2 in. of wire, and the DH127PS has the same plug on about 1.2 in. of wire for tight installs. The decoder itself is identical.
Will it fit my locomotive?
It suits hard-wired installs and any HO locomotive where you supply the harness. If your loco has an 8-pin NMRA DCC-ready socket, the DH127P or DH127PS is the easier choice because the plug is already fitted.
Does it have sound?
No. The DH127D is a motor and function decoder. For sound in HO, look at a Digitrax SDXH series decoder or a SoundTraxx unit, plus a speaker.
Do I need a Digitrax command station to use it?
No. It is a standard NMRA DCC decoder and will run and program on any DCC system.
