Will this work with my Digitrax system?
Yes. The LNC501 is a standard LocoNet cable and is compatible with every Digitrax throttle, booster, and LocoNet accessory.
Can I shorten or splice this cable?
Yes. You can cut it to length and re-terminate it using the Digitrax LocoNet Cable Maker Kit (LT1 / LCBK01) along with RJ12 plugs.
Is this the same as a phone cable?
It uses the same 6P6C (RJ12) connector style as a phone cable, but LocoNet cables are wired straight-through and tested for the higher-speed LocoNet bus. We recommend using a true LocoNet cable like this one to avoid intermittent throttle drops.
What scales is this compatible with?
All scales — the LocoNet bus is independent of track gauge, so it works for HO, N, O, G, Z, S, and any other scale layout running Digitrax.
