The Digitrax LNC82 is a 2-pack of 8-foot LocoNet cables — the standard RJ12 6-conductor cables you need to wire up a Digitrax DCC system. Use them to connect throttles to UP5 panels, link LocoNet peripherals (BDL16, BDL168, DS64, etc.), or extend a LocoNet bus across your layout. Two cables in every package.

Are these standard phone cables?
They look similar, but Digitrax LocoNet uses 6-position 6-conductor (6P6C) wiring, not the 6P4C found in many phone cables. Use these LocoNet-spec cables to avoid wiring issues — or any high-quality 6P6C cable will work.
What can I connect with them?
Throttles to UP5/UP6 plug-in panels, BDL16/BDL168 detection boards to the LocoNet bus, DS64 stationary decoders, SE8C signal decoders, PR4 USB interfaces, and any other LocoNet peripheral.
Will 8 feet be long enough?
For most home layouts, yes — 8 feet covers a typical throttle reach from one UP5 panel to another. For larger layouts you may need longer cables (Digitrax LNC25 is 25 ft) or chain multiple LNC82s through UP panels.
Do they work with non-Digitrax DCC systems?
No — LocoNet is Digitrax's proprietary throttle bus. NCE, MRC, and other DCC systems use different cab buses and connectors.
