Digitrax LNMC3 | 3-Pack LocoNet Modular Couplers - RJ12 6-Conductor Inline Cable Joiners | Multi Scale

Description

The Digitrax LNMC3 is a 3-pack of LocoNet modular couplers — small inline RJ12 (6P6C) joiners that connect two LocoNet cables together to extend a run or splice in additional length. Each coupler has a female RJ12 jack on both ends, so you can chain standard LocoNet cables (like the LNC82) into a longer drop without cutting or crimping anything.

FAQ

What do I use these for?
To join two LocoNet cables into one longer run — for example, connecting two 8-foot LNC82 cables to reach 16 feet, or splicing a short jumper into an existing drop. Plug a cable into each end of the coupler.

Are these the same as a UP5 panel?
No. A UP5/UP6 is a powered plug-in panel for throttles. The LNMC3 is just a passive female-female joiner to extend cable length — no throttle jack, no power, no faceplate.

Will signal degrade through the coupler?
For typical home-layout runs, no — LocoNet tolerates couplers fine. Avoid chaining many couplers on very long runs; if you need long distance, use a single long cable instead.

Digitrax only?
Yes — LocoNet is Digitrax's proprietary bus. The connector is standard RJ12 but the wiring/signal is LocoNet-specific.
