Does this set include a power pack or train?
No — this is a track-only set. You'll need a Kato or compatible N scale power pack and a locomotive (preferably a short-wheelbase one) to run it.
Will my Bachmann or Atlas N scale loco run on this?
Yes, any N scale locomotive runs on Kato Unitrack. Just keep in mind the 6" curves are tight — long six-axle diesels and most steam will bind. Trolleys, switchers, and short 4-axle diesels work great.
Can I expand this set later?
Absolutely. The Compact Oval is fully compatible with the rest of the Kato Unitrack system — add R150 curves, more straights, switches, or upgrade to larger radii as your layout grows.
Is the layout permanent or can I take it apart?
Take apart and rebuild as often as you like. Unitrack's Uni-joiner couplings snap together and pull apart cleanly — no nails or wiring required for basic operation.
