Can I use the 6-12027 without the 6-12029?
Yes. On its own, the 6-12027 functions as a standard insulated track section. It's useful for custom wiring projects, block detection, or isolating electrical sections of your layout.
Is this compatible with traditional O Gauge tubular track?
No. The 6-12027 is designed exclusively for the FasTrack system. If you need to connect FasTrack to tubular track, use a Lionel FasTrack transition section (6-12040).
How many extender sections can I use?
You can add as many 6-12027 sections as needed. Each additional section lengthens the activation zone, which is helpful for longer trains or slower-speed operations where you want accessories to stay active longer.
