FAQ

What does this do that a regular straight doesn't?
The built-in electromagnetic coil activates Lionel operating cars and uncouples cars equipped with magnetic couplers. Place it where you want a yard, siding, or operating accessory.

Do I need a special controller?
It works from any momentary push-button or controller that can apply track power to the activator coil. Most Lionel transformers have a dedicated operating-track button.

Will my older Lionel cars work with this?
Yes — any Lionel car with magnetic couplers or operating coils designed for the standard Lionel system will work.
