The 53' Husky-Stack is the well car that made domestic intermodal work. Gunderson built more than 3,500 of them for TTX, Canadian Pacific, Ferromex and the Arkansas & Oklahoma, and they still run in high-priority stack trains across the USA, Canada and Mexico. This single car is the one for the rear of your train: it comes with a working "FRED" end-of-train device, the flashing red marker that replaced the caboose.
This is Ferromex #5160 in Ferromex grey. It is sold as the well car only, so you can load it with any 53' or shorter containers you already run.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the FRED actually light up?
Yes. This is Rapido's working "FRED" end-of-train device, so the marker on the rear of the car flashes red like the real thing.
Are containers included?
No. The FRED cars are sold as the well car only. It takes up to two 53' containers or any shorter boxes, such as the Walthers 53' Hub Group and 53' EMP containers.
When will it ship?
Rapido has not published a delivery date for this run yet. We ship it the day it reaches us and will update the listing as dates firm up.
How does the pre-order work?
Pick your terms at checkout: pay in full, or pay a 10% deposit with the balance invoiced before it ships. Either way your unit is held for you.
Is the run limited?
Yes. Rapido builds these in limited quantities and does not usually repeat a scheme, so reserving early is the way to be sure of one.
Are there other cars in this series?
Yes. The other working FRED cars are 1132301 (Arkansas-Oklahoma), 1132302 (Canadian Pacific), 1132304 (TTX as-delivered) and 1132305 (TTX patched logo), and the Ferromex Husky-Stacks also come with containers (1132005A single, 1132005 3-pack) or as well cars only (1132503A 2-pack, 1132503 6-pack).
