What's the difference between Code 83 and Code 100?
The number is the rail height in thousandths of an inch. Code 83 (.083") models 132-pound prototype rail and looks more prototypical for modern main lines. Code 100 (.100") models 150-pound rail and is the older industry standard. Both are HO scale and work on the same layout with transition joiners.
Is this track compatible with other HO Code 83 track?
Yes. It joins to virtually any Code 83 flex track or sectional track from Atlas, Walthers, Peco Code 83, and other manufacturers using the included end pieces.
What does "bridge track" mean — does it include a bridge?
No, this is the track that runs ON a bridge or trestle, not the bridge itself. The thinner ties and bridge-style detail are designed to look correct on top of a bridge deck. It's intended for use with separately-sold bridge kits.
Is this DCC-compatible?
