Every railroad needs somewhere to keep the fleet looking fresh, and the Cornerstone Railroad Paint Shop gives your HO layout exactly that. Modeled on the contemporary industrial buildings used by railroads, short lines and contract repaint shops since the 1970s, it features two tall roll-up service doors that swallow modern six-axle diesels and full-size freight cars, plus rooftop HVAC units and an exterior dust-collection system that make it read as a real working paint facility. It's a natural centerpiece next to an engine terminal or car shop — perfect for staging repaints, patched-out units and fresh deliveries.

Is this a snap-together kit?
No — it's a standard Cornerstone molded-plastic kit that assembles with plastic cement (not included). Clear window glazing is included, and painting is optional but recommended.
How big is the finished building?
About 10-1/4" wide x 11" deep x 4-1/8" tall — big enough that two roll-up doorways clear modern six-axle diesels and full-length freight cars on interior tracks.
What era does it fit?
Its contemporary industrial styling matches railroads from roughly the 1970s to the present day — ideal alongside the Cornerstone Modern Diesel Shop and other engine-servicing structures.
Can rail cars actually roll inside?
Yes — plan your track spacing so two tracks pass through the roll-up doors, and the interior is open for staging locomotives or cars mid-repaint.
