The TCS UNIV-SH5-C is a ready-to-use universal WOWSpeaker enclosure with the 16mm x 9mm speaker included. Micro speakers need an enclosure or a sealed shell cavity to actually produce sound — this closed-back housing channels both the front and rear audio out the front, so you get clear, full WOWSound the moment you install it.
Pair it with a sound decoder from our DCC Decoders collection, browse more DCC Accessories, or shop the full Train Control Systems lineup.
What decoders does this work with?
It's an 8 Ω speaker that works with TCS WOWSound decoders and virtually any other DCC sound decoder rated for an 8-ohm load.
Do I need to build an enclosure?
No — the enclosure is included and the speaker is already mounted, so it is ready to install and wire.
What scales can use it?
Any scale with enough room to mount it. Smaller drivers suit N and HO; larger round and high-bass speakers shine in HO, O, and G.
