Digitrax DH127PS | Series 7 Mobile Decoder | HO Scale

The Digitrax DH127PS is the short-harness version of the Series 7 HO decoder: the same 9-pin decoder wired to an 8-pin NMRA medium plug on roughly 1.2 inches of wire. That short lead is the whole point. In a tight shell where the socket sits exactly where the decoder needs to live, the longer harness just becomes wire you have to hide.

• 8-pin NMRA medium plug on a short 1.2 in. harness - built for tight installs where there is nowhere to stuff excess wire.

DH127PS or DH127P - which one do I want?
Same decoder, different harness length. The PS has about 1.2 in. of wire for cramped installs; the P has about 3.2 in., which routes more easily in a roomy diesel hood. If you are unsure, the longer one is more forgiving - you can always coil the slack.

Will it fit my locomotive?
If the loco is DCC-ready with an 8-pin NMRA socket, yes. Remove the dummy plug, keep it somewhere safe in case you ever sell the loco as DC, and seat the decoder plug with pin 1 to the marked corner.

Does it have sound?
No. This is a motor and function decoder. For sound in HO, look at a Digitrax SDXH series decoder or a SoundTraxx unit, plus a speaker.

Do I need a Digitrax command station?
No. It is a standard NMRA DCC decoder and will run and program on any DCC system.
