The official thinner for Speedpaint: this 18ml resin medium lets you dial back shading intensity, build smooth glazes and tints, or stretch a color for large surfaces — without breaking the one-coat formula the way water does. If you paint with any Speedpaints, a bottle of Medium belongs on the bench next to them.
Use it with the Speedpaint Starter Set 2.0 and keep your custom dilutions in Paint Mixing Empty Bottles so you can repeat them later.
Why not just thin Speedpaint with water?
A little water is fine, but past ~10% it breaks the resin formula and the one-coat shading gets blotchy. Medium thins without destabilizing it.
How much do I use?
Add a drop at a time. A 1:1 mix roughly halves shading intensity; a few drops in a full strength color just improves flow.
Does it work with regular acrylics too?
It's formulated for Speedpaint. For standard acrylics, ordinary acrylic medium or water works fine.
Is one bottle enough?
18ml of medium goes a long way — you use drops, not pours. One bottle typically outlasts several Speedpaints.
