No — this is the Standard DC version with no decoder or sound installed. It runs out of the box on conventional DC layouts; if you run DCC, an aftermarket decoder can be added.
What's the minimum curve it can handle?
It easily handles 18" radius curves, though 22" or larger looks and runs best with a locomotive this long.
Will it run well with other units?
Yes — the five-pole skew-wound motor, dual flywheels, and helical-cut gears are designed for smooth multiple-unit operation alongside other WalthersMainline and WalthersProto diesels.
