Greenbrier's transverse coil car is a modern answer to an old problem: steel coils are dense, awkward, and hate moving. The five-trough design carries them crosswise under removable covers, and Rapido has made the first HO model of the type.
This one wears CSX blue, the scheme you will see hauling coil steel through the Northeast and the Ohio Valley today. It is the first of two CSX car numbers in this run.
