Description

Bring big power to your HO railroad with the WalthersMainline SD75M! Built from 1995 to 1996 at the request of the Santa Fe for a higher horsepower unit (4300 versus 4000 for a standard SD70), most were later transferred to the new Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway following the 1995 merger, where many are still in service with BNSF. These units were built with the wide North American Safety Cab, thus the "M" (for "modified") in the model designation. Other features include:

Correct North American Safety Cab per prototype
Flush radiators per early production units
Correct HTCR-1a or HTCR-1b trucks per prototype
Brass Nathan K5 air horn
Treadplate detail on walkways
Minimum radius 18" (22" or larger recommended)

21-Pin DCC plug
Same powerful drive as WalthersProto(R) locos featuring:

5-pole skew-wound motor
14:1 gear ratio

5000-gallon fuel tank w/road specific details
