Decoder works fine for motor control. Haven't tried to remap functions to get headlight to work. It's installed on a Rapido HO scale GE 44 tonner.

I like the engine, its a Walthers. I built well but I am a little disappointed that it has just one flywheel verses two so that it can accommodate a speaker. I wish that Walthers would use an ESU direct Decoder instead of the Essential decoder. There is not much you can do with an ESU essential decoder.

Ordered for the first time from Squeaky;s Trains. My order was acknowledged immediately and it was shipped the next day. The Woodland Scenics Static grass applicator and power supply were well packed and arrived in excellent condition. I will be using Squeaky's again. They did a great job!
I put this decoder into one of the newer Bachmann GP7 loco's which accepts an 8 pin decoder and the results were dramatic! Motor control, as I expected from ESU was excellent. The Bachmann motor was so smooth with this decoder in it. Well pleased with purchase. As always, excellent prices and fast shipping from Squeak's.
