1 In Stock at Our Warehouse

The Lionel 6-12039 FasTrack Railer is the small but essential accessory every O-gauge operator needs on their layout. Place this 10-inch ramped track section anywhere on your line, and you can effortlessly guide locomotives, freight cars, and passenger cars onto the rails — no more wrestling wheels onto track or risking a fall off the bench. It's compatible with Lionel FasTrack as well as traditional O and O-27 tubular track. Key Features Compatible with Lionel FasTrack, O Gauge, and O-27 tubular track 10-inch length integrates seamlessly into any layout Molded plastic construction for durability and lightweight handling Tapered ramps gently steady wheels as you place rolling stock on the rails Saves time and reduces wear on couplers, trucks, and detail parts Specifications Brand Lionel Item Number 6-12039 Scale / Gauge O Gauge / O-27 Length 10 inches Material Plastic UPC 023922120397 Compatibility Lionel FasTrack, traditional O, O-27 Why You Need One Anyone who has tried to set a six-axle diesel or a string of passenger cars onto live track knows the struggle — fingers, couplers, and details all get in the way. The FasTrack Railer takes the stress out of that moment: roll the car onto the ramped section, and the wheel flanges drop right into place. Keep one near your yard ladder, your engine terminal, or wherever you cycle equipment on and off the layout. FAQ Will this work with my Lionel FasTrack?Yes. It is purpose-built to integrate with the FasTrack system and joins to standard FasTrack sections without adapters. Does it work with traditional O-27 tubular track?Yes — Lionel designed it to be compatible with both FasTrack and traditional O / O-27 track, so you can use it on a vintage layout as well. Do I need power running through this section? No, it's a passive piece designed solely for placing trains on the track. It does not conduct or interrupt power. How many should I have on a layout? One is enough for most home layouts, but operators with multiple staging yards or engine terminals often install one at each frequently-used loading point. Make one of EMD's most popular road switchers part of your diesel fleet with the WalthersProto® GP35! Making its debut in 1963, the new engine would pave the way for future generations of hood units. Offering 2500 horsepower and a number of innovative new features, many were purchased as replacements for elderly diesels, and since EMD took trade-ins, some were constructed with rebuilt parts, notably trucks, from other builders! Along with these variations, modelers and railfans noted other changes made during the production run and began referring to early examples as Phase I (also known as Phase 1) while those built after mid-1965 became Phase II (also known as Phase 2); EMD however considered them all the same model and never used these designations. By the time production ended in 1966, over 1300 were in service, and many are still running on shortlines and at museums in 2024. During the winter season railroads had to produce ways to keep loads in open hoppers from getting wet and freezing over during storms. One way was to cover the car with a tarp which could be easily removed by a work crew on site. The model represents MOW hoppers carrying ballast that had road numbers spray painted on the sides. Once the car was empty, the tarps could be folded and stored inside the hopper for the next loading operation.
