EMP's green 53-footers are a fixture of domestic intermodal service all across North America, and this Walthers SceneMaster model is a faithful replica of the Singamas-built corrugated-side boxes in that fleet. It comes assembled and painted in EMP green with the yellow EMP logo and EMHU reporting marks, ready to ride in a well car, stack up at the terminal, or fill out a highway or industrial scene.
EMP is the domestic container program run jointly by Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern, so these boxes show up on stack trains over a huge part of the country. A few of them go a long way toward making a present-day intermodal train look right.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a kit?No. It comes fully assembled and painted, ready to use straight out of the box.
How many containers come in the package? One. This listing is for a single 53' Singamas container.
What cars can carry a 53' container? It fits a 53' well, such as the Rapido 53' Husky-Stack well car, and it can also ride in the top position of a double stack over 40' or 48' boxes.
Does it include a chassis or trailer? No, this is the container only. Well cars, flatcars and chassis are sold separately.
Is there another paint scheme in this series?Yes. The Hub Group 53' Singamas container (949-8505) is the same model in Hub Group green, and the two look right together in one train.
What else goes with it?The Hapag-Lloyd 40' container 3-pack (949-18252) fills the bottom of a stack, and the 45' CIMC container in MSC beige (949-8565) adds another modern length to the mix.
