Walthers Cornerstone Walthers Cornerstone 933-2918 | Open Air Transload Building | HO Scale
Cornerstone Series Open-Air Transload Building Combines Style And FunctionThe Walthers Cornerstone HO Scale Open-Air Transload Building makes it easy for customers to add a typical post-War freight transfer facility near their yard or team track. By the 1950s many railroads had outgrown freight houses and other facilities constructed in the early 1900s. The move to larger trucks for final cargo delivery also dictated a purpose-built transload. The kit features a large concrete loading dock, enclosed staging warehouse and sheltered dock. It's patterned after a Santa Fe prototype but is similar to others used across the continent and is a great destination for boxcars and flatcars. It's a natural for detailing with pallets, drums, sacks and forklifts (sold separately) and makes a great stop for way freights and switchers if you're into prototype operations. Use the Open-Air Transload Building among other Cornerstone HO Scale railroad buildings. Easy-to-build plastic kit Fits any North American steam or diesel-era railroad from the 1950s to the 1990s Includes ramps, docks and canopies Molded in appropriate colors As shown the Open-Air Transload Building measures: 25 x 5-1/4 x 3" or 63.5 x 13.3 x 7.6cm

Walthers Cornerstone Walthers Cornerstone 933-2902 | Machine Shop | HO Scale
While most roads had one major backshop, the prototypes for the Walthers Cornerstone HO Scale Machine Shop allowed railroads to make repairs at outlying terminals since it was often faster, more cost-effective and got the locomotives back on the road and earning their keep. As new engine terminals were built, most received a machine shop capable of handling just about any type of repair that might be needed. This kit matches the design of the Modern Roundhouse (933-2900, sold separately), and can be built as an attached or freestanding building. It also includes a boiler house, which would supply steam, electricity and compressed air to the entire facility. Large roll-up doors can be built open or closed, and the baseplate of the Machine Shop kit has slots that accept popular rail sizes. The Machine Shop is one of a wide variety of Cornerstone HO Scale railroad buildings. Authentic North American prototype Use with late steam and diesel-era layouts Matches design of Walthers Modern Roundhouse kit Separate windows Floor baseplate accepts popular rail sizes Molded in appropriate colors plus clear window glazing The Machine Shop measures: Building: 13-5/8 x 8-3/4 x 5-1/8" or 34 x 21.8 x 12.8cm Smokestack: 10-1/4" or 25.6cm Tall
