Woodland Scenics makes the scenery that turns a layout into a landscape: trees, turf and foliage, ballast, rock molds, realistic water, Just Plug lighting and fully built structures. Most products work across scales, and we stock items for HO, N, O and G. In-stock orders ship the same or next business day.
Woodland Scenics 621 Static Grass in Dark Green 7mm gives your layout the look of mature, overgrown summer fields and tall meadow grass that towers over your scene. The deep green tone is the workhorse color for late-spring through summer ground cover, and the 7mm fibers stand straight up when applied with a static grass applicator for a realistic windblown look. Looking for more scenery and ground cover? Browse our Scenery collection and Track Tools & Accessories for static grass applicators and matching shades. Features 7mm (1/4") fiber length — reads as tall, unkempt grass in HO, S, and O scales, or as thick brush-like vegetation in N and Z scales. Dark Green shade represents mature, deep-toned summer grass and works beautifully blended with lighter greens and burnt tones for natural variation. 42 grams per shaker bottle — enough material to cover a substantial area when applied properly. Stands upright when applied with the Woodland Scenics Static King or any compatible static grass applicator. Part of the Woodland Scenics Field System — fully compatible with their other static grass colors and lengths for blending. Scale: Multi-scale (works in N, HO, S, O, Z). More Information Brand Woodland Scenics Item Number FS621 Color Dark Green Fiber Length 7mm (1/4") Net Weight 42 grams Scale Multi-scale (N, HO, S, O, Z) Product Type Static Grass / Ground Cover System Woodland Scenics Field System Condition New UPC 724771006213 FAQ What scale is this static grass for? It's multi-scale. The 7mm fiber length reads as tall, unmowed grass in HO, S, and O, and as brush-like vegetation or weed clumps in N and Z. Pick a shorter length (2mm or 4mm) for a manicured-lawn look in HO. Do I need a static grass applicator to use this? For the upright "growing" effect that makes static grass so realistic, yes — you need a static grass applicator like the Woodland Scenics Static King. You can still sprinkle the fibers onto wet glue without an applicator, but they'll lay flat rather than stand up. Can I blend this with other Woodland Scenics static grass colors?Absolutely — blending is the trick to a natural look. Pair Dark Green 7mm with Medium Green (FS622), Light Green (FS623), Harvest Gold (FS624), or Burnt Grass (FS625) for variation that matches real fields and meadows. How much area does one bottle cover?Coverage depends on application density, but the 42g bottle realistically covers several square feet of layout when applied at typical density. For large open fields, plan on more than one bottle.
