The WalthersMainline 72' Centerbeam Flatcar in CSX paint, road number 600934. Built to speed the loading and unloading of building materials, centerbeams have been a shipper favorite since the 1980s, and they still move lumber and wallboard across the network every day.
The center partition adds stability to the load and was built in two styles. This car is the standard version, built up from steel beams and rigging, which is the correct pattern for this road name.
It arrives ready to run with a heavy die-cast underframe, turned metal wheelsets and working metal knuckle couplers, so it tracks well and couples to whatever is already on your layout.

Does it come with a lumber load?
No, the car is sold empty. Walthers SceneMaster wrapped lumber loads are made to fit and are sold separately.
What is the difference between opera window and standard beam?
It is the center partition. Opera window cars have oval cutouts along the beam, standard cars use solid steel beams and rigging. Walthers matches the correct style to each road name, and this one is the standard beam version.
Is it ready to run?
Yes. It arrives assembled and painted with metal wheelsets and working metal knuckle couplers.
Will it couple to my other cars?
Yes. It uses Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers, which mate with Kadee-style knuckle couplers.
Are other road numbers available?
Yes. See More in This Series above for the rest of this run. They are a one-time run in limited quantity.
