Woodland Scenics Water Effects is a thick, moldable gel for modeling moving water: waterfalls, rapids, breaking waves and churning foam. It goes on white, holds whatever shape you sculpt, and dries clear and flexible, so a still Realistic Water or Deep Pour river suddenly looks like it is flowing. It also makes convincing icicles and ice for winter scenes, in any scale.
How long does Water Effects take to dry?
Thin layers turn clear in about 24 hours. Thick applications take longer, so build up deep features in several thin coats and let each one clear before adding the next.
How do I make a waterfall with it?
Spread strips of Water Effects on wax paper or plastic wrap, let them dry clear, then peel them off and glue the sheets in place between the top and bottom pools. Add more Water Effects over the seams and at the base for splash and foam.
Can I pour it like Realistic Water?
No. Water Effects is a heavy-bodied gel for texture and movement. Use Realistic Water or Deep Pour Water for the body of the river or lake, then add Water Effects on top once that has fully dried.
Will it work on my scale?
Yes. Water is scale independent, so the same bottle works for N, HO, O, G and tabletop terrain.
