DCC Decoders

Sound and non-sound DCC decoders from SoundTraxx, ESU, Digitrax and Train Control Systems. To pick the right one, match three things to your locomotive: the connection (hardwire, 8-pin, 21-pin or Next18 plug), the motor current it needs, and for sound decoders the prime mover or steam profile. Each product page lists its connection, current rating and sound set. Not sure what fits? Ask us before you order.

NEM652 8-Pin Interface Version The LokPilot 5 DCC is the "twin brother" of the LokPilot 5. The two share almost all characteristics, however, the LokPilot 5 DCC is a pure DCC decoder and cannot be used on analog AC systems. This lack of flexibility comes with a cheaper price. LokPilot 5 decoders are offered with all common interfaces.  Modes The LokPilot 5 DCC is a "pure-bred" DCC decoder. 14 to 128 speed steps are as natural as 2- and 4-digit addresses. Up to 32 functions can be triggered. Thanks to RailComPlus® the decoders register automatically with a suitable DCC system like the ESU CabControl. The decoder accepts all DCC programming modes and thanks to RailCom® the CV values can be read on the main track with RailCom equipped DCC systems. For command stations that only program the CVs from 1-255 auxiliary CV registers exist. The LokPilot 5 DCC decoder recognizes the Märklin® braking sections as well as the ZIMO® HLU / ZACKCommands or the Lenz® ABC system. Also braking with DCC brake modules or with DC voltageis possible. It also stops with a Selectrix® brake diode. An ABC automatic shuttle trainenables automatic commuting between two train stations. The LokPilot 5 DCC decoder can be used on analog DC trains. The top speedcan be set separately. The decoder switches between the operating modes fully automatically "on-the-fly". Features We know that you want your locomotives to be as realistic as possible. Therefore we have the LokPilot 5DCC packed with function outputs. Depending on the interface version, each LokPilot offers 5 DCCDecoder at least 10 amplified function outputs with 250mA output current each. In the executionswith PluX22 or 21MTC interface there are 4 outputs to control servos orLogic level outputs added. All-important lighting functions are available. The brightness of each outputcan be set separately. The decoder masters automatic pushing and pullingwhen uncoupling for ROCO®, Krois® and Telex® couplings. Motor control The engine control of the LokPilot 5 DCC has been fundamentally improved again. A variably adjustablePWM clock frequency from 10kHz to 50kHz ensures super quiet operation, especially with bell-armature motors.Operation - The typical “hum” is a thing of the past. The load control now has up to10 CVs  which can be adjusted for difficult cases. The unique "Autotune" function enablesthe automatic calibration of the decoder to the motor. The LokPilot 5 DCC decoder delivers up to 1.5A of motor current. Enough juice even for older motors. Operational safety On request, a PowerPack can be fitted to the LokPilot 5 DCC to bridge dirty rail sections. Protection Of course, all function outputs and the motor output are protected against overload. We want you to enjoy your decoder for as long as possible. By default, this decoder does not come with a pre-programmed Sound Profile. Nevertheless, we provide complimentary Sound File programming for all ESU decoders. Please be aware that opting for Sound File Programming in your order might result in a shipment delay of 1 to 2 business days. Visit this link to preview ESU Sounds 4A for G Scale, Pinheader Interface Version The LokSound 5 XL decoder is quite a big piece of equipment. It has to be, because it is intended for use in large scale model railways, e.g. garden railways and 1 gauge models. Its integral PowerPack matching the increased motor power assures reliable operation even on dirty tracks. The LokSound 5 XL measures 51 mm x 40 mm and is available in two different types: Besides the type with robust screw type terminals for installation in older models without an interface socket, there is a version with multi-pin connectors. This version fits into all locomotives where an older type LokSound XL decoder has been installed previously. Operating modes Like all products of the LokSound family the LokSound 5 XL is a true multi protocol decoder. It supports DCC as well as Motorola®, Selectrix® and M4. Of course it supports 14 through to 128 speed steps as well as 2 and 4 digit addresses in DCC format and up to 32 functions. Thanks to RailComPlus® the decoders register themselves fully automatically on suitable command stations. The LGB® chain control is capable of handling functions and their respective buttons with older LGB® control systems. This decoder supports all DCC programming modes and thanks to RailCom® you may read out the CV values on the main, provided you have a command station supporting RailCom®. There are utility registers for command stations that only facilitate programming of CVs ranging from 1 to 255. Motorola® users benefit from up to 28 speed steps and 255 addresses. Three additional Motorola® addresses facilitate triggering of 16 functions. An integral programming mode even allows programming with the good old Central Unit 6021. The M4 protocol supports the automatic registration on mfx® compatible central units. The LokSound 5 XL decoder supports Märklin® braking sections just as well as the ZIMO® HLU braking commands or the Lenz® ABC system. Braking with DCC brake generators or with DC is also possible. Furthermore the locomotive with a LokSound 5 XL will come to a halt when a Selectrix® braking diode is connected to the circuit. The ABC push-pull feature enables the automatic commuting between two stations. The LokSound 5 XL decoder is also suitable for analogue DC and AC train sets. Sound The LokSound 5 XL decoder can reproduce up to 10 channels simultaneously. Each channel offers up to 16 Bit / 31250 kHz and thus we have finally achieved hi-fi sound quality on your layout. For all practical purposes one cannot detect any difference to the original. A dual class D audio power amplifier with up to 2 x 6W output power feeds the speakers with a permitted impedance of 4 – 32 Ohms. The sound volume can be controlled by means of two separate potentiometers. The huge 128 MBit sound memory assures sufficient storage capacity. The volume of all individual sound fragments may be adjusted separately. The outstandingly flexible sound engine without a rigid flow chart facilitates a prototypical simulation of all conceivable rail vehicles. Three separately adjustable braking functions and two alternative load scenarios provide you with maximum control of your vehicles. Functions Every LokSound 5 XL decoder has 12 amplified function outputs. On top of that there are another 7 logic outputs, which can, if so desired, control four RC servos or SUSI extension modules. Of course, all important lighting functions are supported. The brightness of each output may be adjusted separately. The decoder supports the automatic push and pull movements – known as the coupler waltz - required for reliable operation of digital couplers such as the ones by ROCO® and Krois® as well as Telex® couplers. 3 sensor inputs may be employed in order to trigger functions. Motor control Motor control of the LokSound 5 XL has been further improved. A variable PWM pulse frequency ranging from 10 kHz to 50 kHz assures perfect silent operation, particularly for coreless motors. Thus the typical hum is a thing of the past. Load control can now be adjusted with up to 10 separate CVs and thus will manage even the most difficult cases. The unique “Auto Tune” function facilitates the automatic calibration of the decoder to perfectly match the motor. The LokSound 5 XL decoder supplies ample current for the motor, namely up to 5.0 A (4.0 A continuous).  Thus the decoder can also handle G gauge locomotives by PIKO® as well as locomotives with two Bühler® or Mabuchi® motors. Wireless mode needs no command station and no programming track — an old DC power pack and the free Blunami app are enough, and CVs can be read and changed over Bluetooth while the locomotive is running. The app is free for iOS and Android. This version is the most compact decoder in the Blunami line — small enough for N scale, suited to N, HO and small S scale. Features 8 EMD-2 prime movers: EMD 567 12-cylinder (no transition), EMD 567C 16-cylinder non-turbo, EMD 645E 12-cylinder non-turbo, EMD 645E 12-cylinder turbo, EMD 645F 16-cylinder turbo, EMD 645E 20-cylinder turbo, EMD 710G 12-cylinder, EMD 710G 16-cylinder Over 40 air horns and 13 bells, plus air compressors, couplers and dynamos Bluetooth control from the free Blunami app (iOS and Android) — over 300 settings without editing a single CV by hand Dynamic Digital Exhaust (DDE) automatically matches exhaust volume and RPM to the load on the motor, and the app calibrates it for you Three braking types: independent, train and dynamic braking Hyperdrive2 motor control for smooth, creep-speed switching Over 20 Hyperlight lighting effects across 4 function outputs 16 polyphonic sound channels on a 32-bit processor, with a 7-band equalizer and adjustable reverb CurrentKeeper ready — works with the SoundTraxx 810140 CurrentKeeper More Information Item Number: SoundTraxx 885621 Model: BLU-1100 Blunami Sound Set: EMD-2 Diesel Scale: N, HO and small S scale Decoder Size: 31 x 10.5 x 5mm Connection: Hardwire (single wires) Max. Motor Stall Current: 1A Function Outputs: 4 Audio Amplifier: 1 Watt, 8-Ohm Load DCC Track Voltage: 7V – 22V Sound Channels: 16 polyphonic Processor: 32-bit, 28 functions Control Modes: DC, DCC and Bluetooth wireless Shop the full SoundTraxx range, compare every DCC decoder we stock, or see the other EMD-2 sound profile decoders. A speaker is not included — browse DCC speakers rated 1 watt or better, and find install parts in DCC wiring. Add a SoundTraxx 810140 CurrentKeeper to keep sound alive over dirty track and turnouts. FAQ Do I need a DCC system to use this? No. That is the point of Blunami. It runs on a plain DC power pack with no command station at all — you control it from the free Blunami app over Bluetooth. It is also a fully NMRA-compliant DCC decoder if you already run DCC. Does the app work on Android?Yes. The free Blunami app is published for both iOS and Android. (Some older listings and dealer pages still say iOS only — that is out of date.) Is a speaker included? No. Pair it with an 8-ohm speaker rated 1 watt or better that fits your shell. Which prime movers do I get?All 8 listed above, selectable in the app or via CV 123. You are not locked to one engine sound — pick whichever matches your prototype. EMD-2 or plain EMD — which do I want? This is the EMD-2 set: a second collection of less-common EMD prime movers, called out by cylinder count. The plain EMD set covers the more common 567/645/710 variants. Match the list above to your prototype. Will it fit my locomotive? This one measures 31 x 10.5 x 5mm and connects by hardwire (single wires). Check the space in your shell against that footprint before ordering — other Blunami versions use different connectors and sizes.

  • Digitrax DH127MT | Series 7 Mobile Decoder | HO Scale - Squeaky's Trains

Digitrax Digitrax DH127MT | Series 7 Mobile Decoder | HO Scale

    Out of stock

The Digitrax DH127MT is a Series 7 HO mobile decoder built on the 21-pin MTC connector. If your locomotive has a 21MTC socket - common on European-built and many newer North American models - this drops straight in with no soldering and no harness to route. One amp continuous, two amps peak, with two FX7 function outputs at a generous 300mA. Building a DCC fleet? Browse our DCC Decoders, DCC Speakers, and DCC Accessories. Features 21-pin MTC socket (21MT) - plugs directly into any 21MTC-equipped HO locomotive, no soldering required. 1.0 amp continuous, 2.0 amps peak - comfortable for single-motor HO diesels and steam. 2 FX7 function outputs at 300mA, enough headroom for incandescent bulbs as well as LEDs, with effects like Mars light, ditch lights and beacons. Series 7 platform with back-EMF speed stabilisation for controlled slow-speed switching. Standard NMRA DCC - runs and programs on any DCC system, not just Digitrax. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number DH127MT Product Type DCC Mobile Decoder Scale HO Motor Current 1.0 A continuous / 2.0 A peak Function Outputs 2 x FX7, 300 mA Connection 21-pin MTC (21MT) socket Series Digitrax Series 7 Sound No - motor and function decoder only Condition New FAQ How do I know if my locomotive takes a 21MTC decoder?Pull the shell and look for a 21-pin connector on the circuit board, arranged in two rows with one pin position blanked off as a key. If you see an 8-pin or 9-pin socket instead, you need a DH127P, DH127PS or DH127D. Which way round does it plug in?The blanked pin position keys the connector so it can only seat one way. Seat it square and do not force it - a bent pin is the usual cause of a decoder that will not respond. Does it have sound? No. This is a motor and function decoder. For sound in HO, look at a Digitrax SDXH series decoder or a SoundTraxx unit, plus a speaker. Do I need a Digitrax command station? No. It is a standard NMRA DCC decoder and works on any DCC system.
