  • Digitrax SFX007 SoundFX sound-only DCC decoder with Easy Connect harness and 8 ohm box speaker

Digitrax Digitrax SFX007 | SoundFX Sound-Only Decoder with 8 Ohm Speaker | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

The Digitrax SFX007 adds prototype sound to almost anything on your layout. It is a sound only decoder with no motor control, so it works as a second decoder alongside the mobile decoder already in your locomotive, or on its own in rolling stock, inside a structure, or under the layout for stationary sound. Eight factory sound projects ship stacked on the decoder and you pick between them with CV60, so it is ready to run straight out of the package. An 8 ohm box speaker and a 330uF capacitor are included, and the Digitrax Easy Connect harness needs only two wires to the track. Smart Power Management keeps the decoder from tripping your booster or programmer during setup. Specifications Brand Digitrax Item Number SFX007 Decoder Type Sound only, no motor control Sound System Digitrax SoundFX v3+ Sound Memory 16 Megabit onboard Audio Up to 8 simultaneous voices, customizable 16, 12 or 8 bit Speaker Included 8 Ohm box speaker, 16 x 26 x 9 mm, 6 pin plug Capacitor 330uF, included Track Connection Digitrax Easy Connect harness, 2 wires Addressing 2 digit and 4 digit Programming Direct and Operations mode Scale All scales Compliance DCC compatible, FCC Part 15 Class B UPC 652667200653 Features Sound only design pairs with the non sound decoder already in a locomotive, so you keep the motor control you have and add sound on top. Eight factory stacked sound projects: AC4400CW, ATSF 3751, C-420, GP7, GP38-2, SD40-2, SD70MAC and UP3985. Diesel and steam are both covered. CV60 selects which of the eight projects is active. No programming track gymnastics and no download needed to switch. Reloadable with any SoundFX 8 bit or 16 bit project using the Digitrax Sound Programmer and the SoundLoader app. Compact enough to sit alongside an existing decoder in many locomotives. Use custom sounds to give rolling stock a voice, or to drive stationary and under layout sound. Smart Power Management stops the booster and programmer shutdowns that plague high draw sound decoders. Speaker and capacitor are in the package, so there is nothing else to buy to hear it run. Frequently Asked Questions Does the SFX007 control the motor? No. It is sound only. Keep the mobile decoder already in the locomotive for motor and lighting control, and let the SFX007 handle sound as a second decoder on the same address. Can I use it as an add on to a Series 5 decoder like the old SFX006?No. Digitrax states the SFX007 is not compatible as a Series 5 add on the way the SFX006 was. It installs as an independent second decoder instead. What scale is it for?All scales. The decoder and the included box speaker are sized to fit HO and larger comfortably, and the harness wiring suits O, S and G installs just as well. Do I need to buy a speaker? No. The 8 ohm 16 x 26 x 9 mm box speaker is included and plugs into the 6 pin connector, along with a 330uF capacitor. Can I change the sound later?Yes. CV60 switches between the eight projects already on board, and you can overwrite the decoder with any SoundFX project using the Digitrax Sound Programmer and SoundLoader. Will it work in rolling stock or a building?Yes. Digitrax builds this decoder for exactly that. Load a custom project and use it for a caboose, a stock car, a sawmill, or any under layout sound scene. • The Army Painter BR7011P Wargamer Brush Vehicle and Scenery The Army Painter BR7011P Wargamer Brush Vehicle and Scenery - view 2

The Army Painter The Army Painter BR7011P | Wargamer Brush - Vehicle & Scenery | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

A flat, stiff brush that does two jobs a round brush cannot. Army Painter built it for highlighting the edges on tanks and drybrushing anything from scenery to vehicles — on a layout, that is the edge of a hopper rib, the lip of a bridge girder, the strata on a rock casting, or a whole retaining wall dusted down in one pass. Its stiff flat end also makes it an oversized drybrush when you need texture across a big surface. Note the brush handle itself is printed "Vehicle/Terrain" — same brush, Army Painter’s older naming. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features Flat, stiff end — built for edge highlighting rather than a round point. Doubles as a large drybrush for scenery, rock castings and retaining walls. Highlights the edges of vehicles, girders, ribs and structural steel cleanly. Stiff bristles drive paint onto raised texture instead of flexing away. Signature Wargamer handle with protective cap. Works with acrylics, Speedpaints and washes in every scale. More Information Brand The Army Painter Item Number BR7011P Series Wargamer Brush Tip Flat, stiff end Best For Edge highlighting vehicles, drybrushing scenery, large-area texture Condition New UPC/EAN 5713799701106 Frequently Asked Questions Why a flat brush instead of a round one?A flat, stiff end rides along an edge and lays a clean highlight line down it. A round brush wants to roll off. For girders, ribs, and roof edges the flat is far easier. Is this a drybrush? Not strictly, but Army Painter notes it works as an enormous drybrush — the flat stiff end is ideal for texturing scenery and large surfaces. Why does the handle say "Vehicle/Terrain"?That is Army Painter’s older printed naming. The current catalogue name is Wargamer Brush: Vehicle & Scenery — the same brush, EAN 5713799701106. How do I make it last?Rinse in cold water immediately after use, never let paint dry in the ferrule, and store the brush tip-up with the cap on.

  • The Army Painter BR7007P Wargamer Brush Regiment The Army Painter BR7007P Wargamer Brush Regiment - view 2

The Army Painter The Army Painter BR7007P | Wargamer Brush - Regiment | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

The biggest of the sable Wargamer brushes and the fastest way to base coat without losing the point. Army Painter built the Regiment for speedpainting big swathes of troops — the model railroad equivalent being a bag of platform figures, a sprue of detail castings, or the interior of a structure. Its 9.9mm sable body carries a lot of paint, and the sharp tip means you are still in control at the edges. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features 9.9 mm tip — the largest sable Wargamer brush, built for covering ground fast. Sharp tip despite the size, so base coating stays neat at edges. Natural Rotmarder sable carries a lot of paint between reloads. Handmade in Germany with an 8 mm triangular grip for control. Ideal for batches of figures, detail castings and structure interiors. Works with acrylics, Speedpaints and washes in every scale. More Information Brand The Army Painter Item Number BR7007P Series Wargamer Brush Bristles Rotmarder sable (natural), handmade in Germany Tip 9.9 mm Best For Fast base coating, batches of figures, structure detail parts Condition New UPC/EAN 5713799700703 Frequently Asked Questions What is Rotmarder sable?Rotmarder is red marten — a natural sable hair prized for holding a fine point and carrying a lot of paint. Army Painter states these brushes are handmade in Germany. How do I make a sable brush last?Load paint on the tip only, never up into the ferrule. Rinse in cold water immediately after use and store it tip-up with the cap on. Dried paint in the heel is what kills a sable brush. Is this a base coating brush or a detail brush?Mostly base coating — its 9.9 mm body holds a lot of paint. But the tip stays sharp, so unlike a flat basecoater you can still work up to an edge cleanly.

  • The Army Painter BR7006P Wargamer Brush Character The Army Painter BR7006P Wargamer Brush Character - view 2

The Army Painter The Army Painter BR7006P | Wargamer Brush - Character | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

The one-brush-for-one-model choice. Army Painter sized the Character for painting single figures — a unit champion in their world, a station master or engine crew in ours — because its 8.7mm sable tip is fine and sharp enough to highlight, but full enough to lay a base coat without constant reloading. If you paint figures one at a time rather than in batches, this is the brush that does most of the job. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features 8.7 mm tip — carries a base coat, still sharp enough to highlight. Natural Rotmarder sable keeps a fine point at a size most synthetics cannot. Handmade in Germany with an 8 mm triangular grip for control. Ideal for single figures, detail castings, and small fittings on locos and structures. Protective cap included to keep the point safe between sessions. Works with acrylics, Speedpaints and washes in every scale. More Information Brand The Army Painter Item Number BR7006P Series Wargamer Brush Bristles Rotmarder sable (natural), handmade in Germany Tip 8.7 mm Best For Single figures, detail parts, base coat plus highlight in one brush Condition New UPC/EAN 5713799700604 Frequently Asked Questions What is Rotmarder sable?Rotmarder is red marten — a natural sable hair prized for holding a fine point and carrying a lot of paint. Army Painter states these brushes are handmade in Germany. How do I make a sable brush last?Load paint on the tip only, never up into the ferrule. Rinse in cold water immediately after use and store it tip-up with the cap on. Dried paint in the heel is what kills a sable brush. Why would I use this over a detail brush?Because it does both. The 8.7 mm tip lays a base coat and still comes to a point sharp enough to highlight, so a whole figure can be painted without swapping brushes.

The Army Painter The Army Painter BR7005P | Wargamer Brush - Detail | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

The everyday detail brush of the sable Wargamer range — a step up in body from the Insane Detail, which makes it the one most painters actually use most. Army Painter describes it as a superb sable brush for very precise details, from weapon cartridges to fine highlights on a face. On a layout that is grab irons, handrails, cab fittings, brake wheels and the faces of figures. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features 6.0 mm tip — fine, but with enough body to carry paint through a stroke. Natural Rotmarder sable holds a sharp point and releases paint smoothly. Handmade in Germany with an 8 mm triangular grip for control. Ideal for grab irons, handrails, cab fittings, brake wheels and figure faces. Protective cap included to keep the point safe between sessions. Rinse in cold water immediately after use and store it tip-up with the cap on. Dried paint in the heel is what kills a sable brush. How is this different from the Insane Detail?Insane Detail (BR7004P) is a 5.0 mm tip for the very smallest spots. This is 6.0 mm — still fine, but with more body, so it holds paint longer and is the better everyday detail brush.

The big brother of the angled drybrush pair, and the fastest way to weather a whole surface. The 43-degree cut on its hard tip means you do not have to bend your wrist to get the bristles flat on the model — Army Painter calls the cut unique in design, and in practice it is the difference between a boxcar side taking one pass or five. Rock castings, roofs, retaining walls and hopper sides all pick up grime and highlight in seconds. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features 43-degree angle cut on a hard tip — no wrist-bending to make full contact with the model. Covers whole surfaces fast: boxcar sides, roofs, retaining walls, rock castings. Hard tip drives paint onto raised detail rather than flexing away from it. Toray synthetic bristles survive the scrubbing motion drybrushing demands. Signature Wargamer handle and protective cap. Works with acrylics and weathering powders in every scale. More Information Brand The Army Painter Item Number BR7010P Series Wargamer Brush Bristles Toray synthetic Tip 43-degree angle cut, hard tip Best For Drybrushing whole car sides, roofs, rock castings, scenery Condition New UPC/EAN 5713799701007 Frequently Asked Questions How is this different from the Small Drybrush?Same 43-degree cut, larger head. This one covers whole surfaces in a pass or two; the Small (BR7009P) targets a specific area like a grille or truck. What is the 43-degree cut for?It presents the bristle face flat against the model at a natural hand angle, so you get full contact without twisting your wrist. Army Painter describes it as unique in design and the reason the brush drybrushes so cleanly. What can I use it for on a layout?Weathering whole car sides and roofs, dusting rock castings and retaining walls, highlighting rock strata, and greying out ballast or roadbed. How do I clean it?Rinse in cold water right after use — drybrushing dries paint into the bristles fast. Store it tip-up with the cap on.

The small member of Army Painter’s angled drybrush pair, and the one that gets the most use in model railroading. Its 43-degree angle cut lets you attack a specific area — a radiator grille, a truck sideframe, a run of rivets, a course of brick — without dragging weathering across the whole model. Army Painter designed it for exactly that: drybrushing part of a model rather than all of it at once. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features 43-degree angle cut puts the bristle face flat on the detail without bending your wrist. Sized for drybrushing a specific area — grilles, trucks, rivets, brick, tread plate. Toray synthetic bristles stand up to the scrubbing motion drybrushing demands. Ideal for rust, dust and wear on rolling stock and locomotive underframes. Signature Wargamer handle and protective cap. Works with acrylics and weathering powders in every scale. More Information Brand The Army Painter Item Number BR7009P Series Wargamer Brush Bristles Toray synthetic Tip 43-degree angle cut Best For Drybrushing detail areas — grilles, trucks, rivets, brick courses Condition New UPC/EAN 5713799700901 Frequently Asked Questions How is this different from the Large Drybrush?Same 43-degree angle cut, smaller head. This one targets a specific area — a grille or a truck. The Large (BR7010P) covers a whole boxcar side or roof in fewer passes. What is the 43-degree cut for?It presents the bristle face flat against the model at a natural hand angle, so you are not twisting your wrist to make contact. It makes controlled, repeatable drybrushing much easier. What can I use it for on a layout?Rust streaks on hoppers, dust on trucks and underframes, highlighting rivet lines and grab irons, mortar in brick, and depth in rock castings. How do I clean it?Rinse in cold water right after use — drybrushing dries paint into the bristles fast. Store it tip-up with the cap on.

  • The Army Painter BR7008P Wargamer Brush Monster The Army Painter BR7008P Wargamer Brush Monster - view 2

The Army Painter The Army Painter BR7008P | Wargamer Brush - Monster | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

The big-area brush of the Wargamer range. Army Painter built the Monster for large models — and on a layout that means structure walls, roofs, vehicle bodies, big rock castings and backdrop work. The interesting part is why it is synthetic rather than sable: Army Painter notes that a sable brush this size could drown a model in paint, while Toray synthetic releases paint more slowly. That is exactly what you want laying a base coat across a warehouse wall without flooding the mortar lines. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features Sized for large surfaces — structure walls, roofs, vehicle bodies, big scenery castings. Toray synthetic releases paint slower than sable at this size, so coverage stays controlled. Lays a smooth base coat or shade across a big area in few strokes. Also handles brush-applied primer and washes on large parts. Signature Wargamer handle and protective cap. Works with acrylics, Speedpaints and washes in every scale. More Information Brand The Army Painter Item Number BR7008P Series Wargamer Brush Bristles Toray synthetic Tip Large, rounded Best For Base coating structures, vehicles, large scenery castings Condition New UPC/EAN 5713799700802 Frequently Asked Questions What would I use this for on a layout?Base coating structure walls and roofs, painting vehicle bodies, covering large rock or tunnel-portal castings, and flooding washes over big surfaces. Why synthetic instead of sable?Army Painter’s own reasoning: a sable brush this size holds so much paint it could drown a model. The Toray synthetic releases paint more slowly, which keeps a big brush controllable. Is it too big for HO or N scale? It is a broad-area brush, so it earns its keep on structures and scenery rather than on individual figures. For detail on small models, pair it with the Precise Detail (BR7001P) or Super Detail (BR7016P). How do I make it last?Rinse in cold water immediately after use, never let paint dry in the ferrule, and store the brush tip-up with the cap on.

The Army Painter The Army Painter BR7003P | Hobby Brush - Basecoating | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

Base coating is the unglamorous half of a paint job, and the wrong brush makes it twice the work — too thin and you are reloading every stroke, too dry and you get streaks. The Army Painter Basecoating brush has a thicker body sized to hold a real load of paint without dumping it all on the first stroke, so structure walls, hopper sides and batches of platform figures go down smooth and even. It is the workhorse of the Hobby range. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features Thicker brush body holds a generous load of paint without spilling it on the first stroke. Lays clean, even coverage across larger areas — walls, roofs, rolling stock sides. Built for painting the bulk of a batch: figures, crews, whole structure kits. High-quality taklon bristles keep their shape and rinse clean. Signature Army Painter red handle, balanced for long bench sessions. Works with acrylics, Speedpaints and washes in every scale. More Information Brand The Army Painter Item Number BR7003P Series Hobby Brush Bristles Taklon synthetic Tip Round, thick body Best For Base coats, structure walls, larger areas, batches of figures Condition New UPC/EAN 5713799700307 Frequently Asked Questions What scale is this brush for?Any of them. It is sized for covering area, so it earns its keep most on HO and larger structures — but it base coats N scale buildings just as well. Can I use this for priming a whole structure? For a large kit, a rattle can or airbrush is faster. This brush is ideal for base coating walls, roofs and detail parts, and for touching up after a spray primer. What are taklon bristles?A synthetic filament that mimics the absorption of natural sable without animal hair. It holds a point well and rinses clean in cold water. How do I make it last?Load paint on the tip only, never up into the ferrule. Rinse in cold water immediately after use and store the brush tip-up.

The Army Painter The Army Painter BR7002P | Hobby Brush - Highlighting | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

Highlighting is what makes a model read at arm’s length — the sharp edge of a roof rib, the worn lip of a hopper bay, the raised piping on a figure’s coat. The Army Painter Highlighting brush is the all-rounder built for exactly that: a sharp tip that reaches awkward spots, with enough body behind it to lay a clean line rather than a scratchy one. High-quality taklon bristles mimic the absorption of sable, so the paint flows off the tip instead of sitting on it. Pairs with the rest of the Army Painter range — or browse our Figures & Vehicles collection for something to paint. Features Sharp tip reaches the hard-to-get areas of a model or figure. High-quality taklon bristles mimic the absorption properties of sable. A genuine all-rounder — crisp highlight lines plus everyday detail work. Signature Army Painter red handle, balanced for long bench sessions. Works with acrylics, Speedpaints and washes in every scale. Part of the Hobby Brush series — an affordable step up from craft-store brushes. More Information Brand The Army Painter Item Number BR7002P Series Hobby Brush Bristles Taklon synthetic Tip Sharp, fine Best For Edge highlights, hard-to-reach areas, general detail Condition New UPC/EAN 5713799700208 Frequently Asked Questions What scale is this brush for?Any of them. A highlighting brush is scale-agnostic — the same brush that edges an N scale roofline will highlight an O gauge figure. How is this different from the Precise Detail brush?Highlighting carries more paint and is built to pull a clean line along an edge. Precise Detail (BR7001P) has a finer point for picking out individual rivets and small spots.
