Broadway Limited's HO scale heavyweight exhibit car in Southern Railway #24, finished in green, yellow, orange and white. Ready to run, and unlike anything else in a typical passenger consist. Exhibit cars were the railroad's public face, touring as travelling displays covering railroad history, safety awareness and career opportunities. Between them the two types covered both education and outreach, and they are among the most distinctive passenger cars ever built because each one was custom-made for its own job. Broadway Limited built these on the modified 80 foot coach tooling originally developed for the 1947 American Freedom Train. Because every real instruction and exhibit car was a one-off conversion, no model can copy one exactly. These capture the look and character of the type at a price that keeps them accessible. The GP35 was EMD's answer to a horsepower race it was losing. Built from 1963, it put 2,500 hp on four axles and turned up on nearly every Class 1 railroad in North America, and many were rebuilt and kept working for decades. Broadway Limited models the common low-nose version. This one wears Union Pacific's 1980s Armour Yellow and gray with large lettering as #747, with Paragon4 sound on DC or DCC.
