FAQ
What does an "accessory activator" actually do?The center rail is split so when a train passes over the insulated section, its metal wheels and axles complete a circuit that triggers a connected accessory — like dropping a crossing gate or flashing a signal — until the train moves past.
Will this work with my existing Lionel FasTrack layout?Yes. These sections snap directly onto any standard FasTrack track. They're drop-in replacements for a 10" straight and two 5" straights.
What accessories can I trigger with this pack? Most Lionel-style operating accessories that use isolated-rail triggering: crossing gates, highway flashers, semaphore signals, block signals, and many third-party accessories built to the same standard.
Do I need a special wiring setup? No. The activator pack handles the isolation. You connect your accessory's trigger wire to the activator section's terminal, and your train does the rest as it rolls past.
