The ESU 51840 SignalPilot is a multi-protocol accessory decoder built mainly for switching color light signals. It has 16 outputs that drive micro bulbs or LEDs (with series resistors) directly, and because every output is a push/pull stage it works with signals wired common anode or common cathode, including Viessmann signals. Each output can run as a steady, flashing or pulsed light, with adjustable brightness and fade times plus prototypical effects such as soft dimming, fluorescent tube, gas lantern and flicker.
