The SoundTraxx 884609 is a BLU-4408 Blunami digital sound decoder with the Steam-2 sound set. Blunami is a Tsunami2 with a Bluetooth radio added, so it runs three ways: as a normal DCC decoder on any NMRA-compliant system, on plain DC, or in wireless mode straight from your phone or tablet. Wireless mode needs no command station and no programming track — an old DC power pack and the free Blunami app are enough, and CVs can be read and changed over Bluetooth while the locomotive is running. The app is free for iOS and Android. This version is the big-scale Blunami: a 4-amp motor rating and screw terminals instead of solder joints, suited to S, O and Large Scale. Features 90 selectable whistles — the Steam-2 library carries 27 more than the standard Steam set, most of them roadname-specific — plus 12 bells, 10 airpumps and 8 dynamos Bluetooth control from the free Blunami app (iOS and Android) — over 300 settings without editing a single CV by hand Dynamic Digital Exhaust (DDE) automatically matches exhaust volume and RPM to the load on the motor, and the app calibrates it for you Independent and train brakes with adjustable rates Hyperdrive2 motor control for smooth, creep-speed switching Over 20 Hyperlight lighting effects across 8 function outputs 16 polyphonic sound channels on a 32-bit processor, with a 7-band equalizer and adjustable reverb CurrentKeeper ready — works with the SoundTraxx 810140 CurrentKeeper More Information Item Number: SoundTraxx 884609 Model: BLU-4408 Blunami Sound Set: Steam-2 Steam Scale: S, O and Large Scale Decoder Size: 69 x 30.5 x 14mm Connection: Screw terminal blocks (no soldering) Max. A speaker is not included — browse DCC speakers rated 3 watt or better, and find install parts in DCC wiring. Add a SoundTraxx 810140 CurrentKeeper to keep sound alive over dirty track and turnouts. FAQ Do I need a DCC system to use this? No. That is the point of Blunami. It runs on a plain DC power pack with no command station at all — you control it from the free Blunami app over Bluetooth. It is also a fully NMRA-compliant DCC decoder if you already run DCC. Does the app work on Android?Yes. The free Blunami app is published for both iOS and Android. (Some older listings and dealer pages still say iOS only — that is out of date.) Is a speaker included? No. Pair it with an 8-ohm speaker rated 3 watt or better that fits your shell. How is Steam-2 different from the standard Steam set?The chuffs, bells, airpumps and dynamos are the same. The difference is the whistle library: Steam-2 offers 90 whistles versus 63 on the standard set, with many roadname-specific additions. Will it fit my locomotive? This one measures 69 x 30.5 x 14mm and connects by screw terminal blocks (no soldering). Check the space in your shell against that footprint before ordering — other Blunami versions use different connectors and sizes.

  • Digitrax DH187A0 | Series 7 Mobile Decoder | HO Scale - Squeaky's Trains

Digitrax Digitrax DH187A0 | Series 7 Mobile Decoder | HO Scale

    1 In Stock In Store

The Digitrax DH187A0 is a drop-in light board replacement for HO locomotives - you unscrew the factory DC light board and this Series 7 decoder takes its place, keeping the original lighting positions. It is the standard fit for many Kato, Athearn Genesis and Stewart models, and it brings eight FX7 function outputs at 300mA, far more lighting capability than a two-function decoder. Building a DCC fleet? Browse our DCC Decoders, DCC Speakers, and DCC Accessories. Features Drop-in light board replacement - swaps for the factory DC board in many Kato, Athearn Genesis, Stewart and similar HO locomotives. No harness to route. 8 FX7 function outputs at 300mA - enough for headlights, ditch lights, number boards, cab light and class lights, with prototypical effects on each. 1.0 amp continuous, 2.0 amps peak - ample for single-motor HO diesels. Series 7 platform with back-EMF speed stabilisation for steady low-speed control. Standard NMRA DCC - runs and programs on any DCC system, not just Digitrax. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number DH187A0 Product Type DCC Mobile Decoder (Drop-In Board) Scale HO Motor Current 1.0 A continuous / 2.0 A peak Function Outputs 8 x FX7, 300 mA Connection Direct board replacement Series Digitrax Series 7 Sound No - motor and function decoder only Condition New FAQ How do I know it will fit my locomotive?Drop-in boards are shape-specific. Pull the shell and compare the factory board footprint, mounting clips and light positions against the DH187A0. It is the usual fit for many Kato, Athearn Genesis and Stewart HO diesels, but check yours before ordering - if it does not match, a wired decoder such as the DH127D is the fallback. Why choose a drop-in board over a plug-in decoder? No harness and no wire to hide, and the lighting stays where the manufacturer put it. On models where the light board also carries the motor contacts, a drop-in is usually the cleanest install you can do. What can I do with eight function outputs?Headlight and rear headlight, ditch lights that alternate with the horn, number boards, cab light, class lights - each output can be assigned its own effect and dimming via CV settings. Does it have sound? No. This is a motor and function decoder. For sound in HO, look at a Digitrax SDXH series decoder or a SoundTraxx unit, plus a speaker.

DCC, or Broadway Limited's DCMaster on a DC layout, unlocks every sound and lighting function. What is the minimum radius?Broadway Limited lists 9 3/4 inches. Broader curves look and run better with longer trains. What track does it run on?Code 55, Code 70 and Code 80 N scale rail, including Kato Unitrack. Is it an exact replica of #4501?The real #4501 is a Baldwin Mikado built in 1911, before the USRA standard designs. Broadway Limited models it on their USRA Light Mikado, so some details differ from the real engine, while the 2026 green paint, gold lettering and silver smokebox follow the prototype. Is there a no-sound version?Yes. The Stealth version, item 10125, runs on DC and is DCC ready with a Next18 socket and a factory speaker. See the Also Available section below. Digitrax Digitrax DO487 | High-Capacity Mobile Decoder | Multi Scale

    1 In Stock In Store

The Digitrax DO487 is the heavy hauler of the mobile decoder range: four amps continuous and five amps peak, wired rather than plugged, for the large-scale and O scale locomotives that will cook an ordinary HO decoder. Eight FX3 function outputs at 300mA give you the lighting capacity to match, and because it is a wired decoder it goes into anything you can solder to. Building a DCC fleet? Browse our DCC Decoders, DCC Speakers, and DCC Accessories. Features 4.0 amps continuous, 5.0 amps peak - built for large-scale and O scale mechanisms, dual-motor drives and older high-draw motors. 8 FX3 function outputs at 300mA for headlights, marker lights, cab lighting, smoke units and other accessories. Wired installation - no socket required, so it suits scratch installs, brass models and repowered older locomotives. Suits HO, S, O and G scale where the current draw justifies it. Standard NMRA DCC - runs and programs on any DCC system, not just Digitrax. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number DO487 Product Type DCC Mobile Decoder (High Capacity) Scale HO, S, O, G Motor Current 4.0 A continuous / 5.0 A peak Function Outputs 8 x FX3, 300 mA Connection Wired - no plug fitted Sound No - motor and function decoder only Condition New FAQ Do I actually need a 4 amp decoder?Only if the locomotive draws it. Measure stall current on DC before deciding - a typical single-motor HO diesel pulls well under an amp and is fine on a 1 amp decoder. Reach for the DO487 when you have a large-scale mechanism, twin motors, or an older open-frame motor. Will it fit in the locomotive? It is a physically larger board than an HO decoder, which is rarely a problem in O or G scale. In HO it is worth measuring the available space in the shell or tender before ordering. Does it have sound? No. The DO487 is a motor and function decoder. Pair it with a separate sound decoder, or choose a high-current sound decoder instead, if you want audio. How do I wire it in?Track pickups to the red and black leads, motor to orange and grey, and function outputs to your lighting. Isolate the motor completely from the frame before you connect anything - a motor still grounded to the chassis is the most common way to destroy a decoder.

  • Digitrax DH127PS | Series 7 Mobile Decoder | HO Scale - Squeaky's Trains

Digitrax Digitrax DH127PS | Series 7 Mobile Decoder | HO Scale

    3 reviews

The Digitrax DH127PS is the short-harness version of the Series 7 HO decoder: the same 9-pin decoder wired to an 8-pin NMRA medium plug on roughly 1.2 inches of wire. That short lead is the whole point. In a tight shell where the socket sits exactly where the decoder needs to live, the longer harness just becomes wire you have to hide. Building a DCC fleet? Browse our DCC Decoders, DCC Speakers, and DCC Accessories. Features 8-pin NMRA medium plug on a short 1.2 in. harness - built for tight installs where there is nowhere to stuff excess wire. 1.0 amp continuous, 2.0 amps peak - ample for single-motor HO diesels and steam. 2 FX7 function outputs at 200mA for directional headlights plus effects such as Mars light, ditch lights, rotary beacon and flicker. Series 7 platform with back-EMF speed stabilisation, so slow switching moves stay smooth and controlled. Plug-and-play on any DCC-ready HO locomotive with an 8-pin socket - no soldering. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number DH127PS Product Type DCC Mobile Decoder Scale HO Motor Current 1.0 A continuous / 2.0 A peak Function Outputs 2 x FX7, 200 mA Connection 9-pin socket with PS-harness, 8-pin medium plug Harness Length Approx. 1.2 in. Series Digitrax Series 7 Sound No - motor and function decoder only Condition New FAQ DH127PS or DH127P - which one do I want?Same decoder, different harness length. The PS has about 1.2 in. of wire for cramped installs; the P has about 3.2 in., which routes more easily in a roomy diesel hood. If you are unsure, the longer one is more forgiving - you can always coil the slack. Will it fit my locomotive? If the loco is DCC-ready with an 8-pin NMRA socket, yes. Remove the dummy plug, keep it somewhere safe in case you ever sell the loco as DC, and seat the decoder plug with pin 1 to the marked corner. Does it have sound? No. This is a motor and function decoder. For sound in HO, look at a Digitrax SDXH series decoder or a SoundTraxx unit, plus a speaker. Do I need a Digitrax command station? No. It is a standard NMRA DCC decoder and will run and program on any DCC system.

    Digitrax Digitrax SDXN167n18 | Series 7 Plug-in Next18 Sound Decoder | N Scale

The Digitrax SDXN167n18 is an N scale sound decoder on the Next18 plug, so in a Next18-equipped locomotive the install is a single connector and nothing else. It carries SoundFX v3 with eight CV-selectable steam and diesel sound schemes on board, which means one decoder covers a lot of different models, and new .spjs sound files can be loaded later with a Digitrax USB programmer. Building a DCC fleet? Browse our DCC Decoders, DCC Speakers, and DCC Accessories. Features Next18 plug-in connector - no soldering, no harness. Fits the Atlas N FA-1 and other Next18-equipped N scale locomotives. 8 CV-selectable sound schemes included, steam and diesel, so you can match the decoder to the prototype without reloading anything. SoundFX v3 with reloadable .spjs sound files via a Digitrax USB programmer if you want something specific later. 6 FX3 function outputs for headlights and lighting effects alongside the sound functions. Motor drive rated to the Next18 connector capacity - sized for N scale mechanisms. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number SDXN167n18 Product Type DCC Sound and Motor Decoder Scale N Connection Next18 plug-in connector Function Outputs 6 x FX3 Sound Yes - SoundFX v3, 8 selectable schemes Speaker Included No - speaker sold separately Motor Drive To Next18 connector capacity Series Digitrax Series 7 Condition New FAQ Does my locomotive have a Next18 socket?Pull the shell and look for a small 18-pin connector, much smaller than a 21MTC and finer-pitched than an 8-pin socket. Manufacturers usually advertise it as "Next18 ready". The Atlas N FA-1 is one common example. Is a speaker included? No. Pick a speaker that fits your shell and matches the decoder impedance - in N scale that usually means a 13mm round or a small oval. Fitting it in a sealed baffle makes a large difference to the result. What do the eight sound schemes cover?A mix of steam and diesel prime movers, selectable by CV, so one decoder can serve several different models in your fleet without reloading sound. Can I load a different sound file?Yes. New .spjs files can be written to the decoder with a Digitrax USB programmer such as the PR4. Running the decoder needs no Digitrax hardware at all - any NMRA DCC system will do.
