  • Digitrax LT5C | 2-Pack LocoNet Cable Tester Module - Diagnose RJ12 Cables & LocoNet Bus Issues | Multi Scale

Digitrax Digitrax LT5C | 2-Pack LocoNet Cable Tester Module - Diagnose RJ12 Cables & LocoNet Bus Issues | Multi Scale

    1 In Stock In Store

The Digitrax LT5C is a handy LocoNet diagnostic tool — it plugs into any LocoNet jack and uses an LED indicator to verify that the cable, the jack, and the LocoNet bus power are all wired correctly. The LED lights up only when ALL six pins of the RJ12 jack get correct signal — making it the fastest way to find a bad cable, a miswired UP5/UP6 panel, or a broken LocoNet run before you spend hours debugging your throttles. This 2-pack gives you one to leave at the start of your bus and one to walk around with. Looking for more DCC tools and accessories? Browse our DCC Decoders and Electronics & Wiring collections. Features 2 LT5C tester modules per pack — one for each end of the bus, or one for the home base and one to walk the layout. Plugs into any standard Digitrax LocoNet RJ12 (6P6C) jack. Single LED indicator lights when all six pins are wired correctly — instant pass/fail. No batteries, no setup — passive diagnostic, draws power from LocoNet. Compact key-fob sized housing, slips into any toolbox or pocket. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number LT5C Type LocoNet cable / jack tester Quantity 2 testers per pack Connection RJ12 6P6C plug Indicator Single LED — on = pass / off = fail Power Drawn from LocoNet bus (no batteries) System Digitrax LocoNet Condition New — sealed FAQ What does it test?It verifies all six LocoNet pins are correctly wired AND that the LocoNet bus is delivering signal at that jack. If the LED is dark, you have either a bad cable, a miswired UP5/UP6 panel, an unplugged section, or a dead command station. Will the LT5C find a specific bad wire? Not exactly — it gives a pass/fail on the whole jack. To narrow down which pin is bad you'd plug it into successive jacks along the bus to find where the fault starts. For pin-by-pin testing, Digitrax also makes the LT1 (more detailed but discontinued in some regions). Do I need two?Two-pack lets you leave one at the command station to confirm the bus is alive, then walk the layout with the other to verify each UP panel and run as you set up or debug. Many builders also leave one permanently plugged into a hard-to-reach drop point for instant verification. Will it work on non-Digitrax DCC systems? No. LocoNet is Digitrax-specific. NCE, MRC, and other DCC systems use different cab buses.

  • Digitrax LNMC3 | 3-Pack LocoNet Modular Couplers - RJ12 6-Conductor Inline Cable Joiners | Multi Scale

    Digitrax Digitrax LNMC3 | 3-Pack LocoNet Modular Couplers - RJ12 6-Conductor Inline Cable Joiners | Multi Scale

    2 In Stock In Store

The Digitrax LNMC3 is a 3-pack of LocoNet modular couplers — small inline RJ12 (6P6C) joiners that connect two LocoNet cables together to extend a run or splice in additional length. Each coupler has a female RJ12 jack on both ends, so you can chain standard LocoNet cables (like the LNC82) into a longer drop without cutting or crimping anything. Looking for more DCC wiring and accessories? Browse our Electronics & Wiring and DCC Decoders collections. Features 3 modular couplers per pack — join LocoNet cables end-to-end without tools. Female RJ12 6-position 6-conductor (6P6C) jack on both ends — matches all Digitrax LocoNet cables. Maintains full 6-wire LocoNet signal through the connection. Compact inline housing — tucks neatly under benchwork. No batteries, no setup — passive pass-through connector. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number LNMC3 Type LocoNet modular coupler / inline joiner Quantity 3 couplers per pack Connection RJ12 6P6C female — both ends System Digitrax LocoNet Condition New — sealed UPC 652667180078 FAQ What do I use these for?To join two LocoNet cables into one longer run — for example, connecting two 8-foot LNC82 cables to reach 16 feet, or splicing a short jumper into an existing drop. Plug a cable into each end of the coupler. Are these the same as a UP5 panel? No. A UP5/UP6 is a powered plug-in panel for throttles. The LNMC3 is just a passive female-female joiner to extend cable length — no throttle jack, no power, no faceplate. Will signal degrade through the coupler? For typical home-layout runs, no — LocoNet tolerates couplers fine. Avoid chaining many couplers on very long runs; if you need long distance, use a single long cable instead. Digitrax only?Yes — LocoNet is Digitrax's proprietary bus. The connector is standard RJ12 but the wiring/signal is LocoNet-specific.

  • Digitrax SMBK | Signal Mast Base Kit | Multi Scale - Squeaky's Trains

Digitrax Digitrax SMBK | Signal Mast Base Kit | Multi Scale

    1 In Stock In Store

The Digitrax SMBK is a three-pack of signal mast bases - the part that sits in the scenery, takes the plug from the signal driver cable and holds the signal head at the right height. Use them as bases under signals in any scale, or paint and detail them and they work as finished N scale signal masts in their own right. Signalling your layout? Browse our DCC Accessories, DCC Wiring, and the full Digitrax range. Features Three signal masts per pack, enough for a full turnout signal plant or three mainline positions. Works as a mast base in any scale - it carries the plug connection and sets the signal at the right height above the scenery. Doubles as a finished N scale mast once painted and detailed, so one part covers two jobs. Designed to mate with the 10-pin signal plugs used across the Digitrax signalling range. Pairs with the SMHK mounting hardware kit, which holds the plugs at the right distance under the layout. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number SMBK Product Type Signal Mast Base Kit Scale All scales as a base, N scale as a finished mast Quantity 3 signal masts Connector For 10-pin Digitrax signal plugs Finish Unpainted - paint and detail as required Condition New FAQ What does a mast base actually do?It anchors the signal through the layout surface and carries the plug connection down to the signal driver cable underneath, so the signal itself stays removable. Can I use these in HO or O scale?Yes, as bases. At those scales the base sits below or behind the scenery and the visible mast is your signal head assembly. Only in N scale is the part itself convincing as the finished mast. What else do I need?A signal head or kit, cabling such as the SDCK, and the SMHK mounting hardware kit to hold the plugs at the correct depth under the benchwork. Do they come painted? No. They are supplied plain so you can paint and weather them to match your prototype.

  • Digitrax SH2AB | Mainline Signaling Kit | HO Scale - Squeaky's Trains

Digitrax Digitrax SH2AB | Mainline Signaling Kit | HO Scale

    1 In Stock In Store

The Digitrax SH2AB is a complete mainline signalling kit for HO scale - four single-head signals in the A and B mast configurations used to signal a double-track main, with the mounting board, plugs and hardware to install them. The current-limiting resistors are already on the board, so there is nothing to calculate and nothing to solder on the bench. Signalling your layout? Browse our DCC Accessories, DCC Wiring, and the full Digitrax range. What's Included Item Qty Single Head A Signal 2 Single Head B Signal 2 SMP1 signal mast plug 4 Spacers 8 Screws 8 Features Everything for one mainline signal plant - signals, mast plugs, spacers and screws in one box. Plug and play 10-pin connectors make each signal removable, which matters when you are ballasting or working on scenery nearby. Current-setting resistors built into the board - no resistor maths, no risk of cooking an LED. A and B mast configurations for straightforward double-track mainline signalling. Pads are provided so you can attach any signal head to the mast base if you want to mix in other manufacturers. Intended for use with the Digitrax SE8C signal decoder. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number SH2AB Product Type Signal Kit Scale HO Configuration Mainline - A and B masts Signal Heads 4 single head Connector 10-pin plug and play Resistors Built into the mounting board Use With Digitrax SE8C signal decoder Condition New FAQ What does a mainline kit signal, compared with a turnout kit? This one covers plain double track - two directions, A and B masts. For a junction or crossover you want a turnout kit such as the SHABC, which includes a dual-head signal for the diverging route. Do I need anything else to make the signals work?Yes - a signal decoder to drive the aspects (the SE8C is the intended partner), cabling to reach the masts such as the SDCK kit, and some form of block occupancy detection. Do I need to add resistors? No. Current-setting resistors are already on the mounting board, which is one of the main reasons to buy the kit rather than loose signal heads. Will these work with a non-Digitrax system? The signal heads themselves are just LEDs on a board and can be driven by other signal systems, but the 10-pin plug arrangement and the resistor board are designed around the Digitrax SE8C.

  • Digitrax SMHK | Signal Mounting Hardware Kit - Squeaky's Trains

Digitrax Digitrax SMHK | Signal Mounting Hardware Kit

    1 In Stock In Store

The Digitrax SMHK is the under-layout hardware that makes a signal install workable. Six metal straps and six spacers hold each signal plug at exactly the right distance below the benchwork, so when you push a signal down through the scenery it meets its socket squarely instead of you working blind with one arm under the layout. Signalling your layout? Browse our DCC Accessories, DCC Wiring, and the full Digitrax range. What's Included Item Qty Metal signal straps 6 Signal spacers 6 Features Holds signal plugs at the correct depth under the layout so signals plug in first time, every time. Six straps and six spacers - enough hardware for six signal positions. Metal straps hold their set position rather than drifting once the layout warms up or gets knocked. Designed around the 10-pin signal plugs used across the Digitrax signalling range. Pairs with the SMBK mast base kit and the SDCK signal driver cable kit to complete an install. More Information Brand Digitrax Item Number SMHK Product Type Signal Mounting Hardware Kit Scale All scales Contents 6 metal straps, 6 spacers Mounting Under-layout Use With Digitrax signal driver cables and mast bases Condition New FAQ Why do I need mounting hardware at all?Because plugging a signal in from above with your hand underneath the layout is miserable without it. The straps hold each plug rigid at a known depth so the signal seats cleanly when you push it down. How many signals does one kit cover?Six positions - six straps and six spacers. What else do I need for a signal install?Signal heads or a signal kit, mast bases such as the SMBK, cabling such as the SDCK, and a signal decoder to drive the aspects. Will it work with signals from other manufacturers? The hardware holds the plug, not the signal, so it works wherever you are using Digitrax-style 10-pin signal plugs regardless of whose head is on top.

The Train Control Systems KA2-P Keep-Alive® is a compact stay-alive capacitor pack that feeds backup power to your DCC decoder whenever the wheels lose contact with the rails. No more stalling on dirty track, dead frogs, or insulated turnouts. The KA2-P comes in at about half the size of a KA4 and delivers roughly one-third the capacitance of a KA3/KA4, making it a great choice where space is tight in N and smaller HO locomotives. This is the harness-equipped version: it ships with a 2-Pin Quick Connector Harness that plugs straight into any decoder with a compatible 2-pin Keep-Alive socket, such as the TCS T4 and other current TCS decoders — no soldering to the decoder required. Browse more decoder add-ons in our DCC Accessories collection, shop the full Train Control Systems lineup, or pair it with a new sound decoder from our DCC Decoders collection. Features Keep-Alive® stay-alive capacitor pack eliminates stalling on dirty track, dead frogs, and insulated rail joints. Compact — about half the size of a KA4; delivers roughly one-third the capacitance of a KA3/KA4. Includes a 2-Pin Quick Connector Harness — plugs into the TCS T4 and other decoders with a compatible 2-pin socket, no decoder soldering needed. Dimensions: 0.35" x 0.35" x 0.61" (8.9 x 8.9 x 15.5 mm). Input rating 12–16V; works with any scale and any DCC system. Will the KA2-P plug into my decoder? The included 2-pin harness plugs into TCS decoders with a compatible Keep-Alive socket (such as the T4) and most current TCS decoders. For decoders without a 2-pin socket, you can solder the leads to the decoder's keep-alive pads — check your decoder's manual first. Why choose the KA2-P over a larger KA3/KA4?It's much smaller and fits where bigger packs won't — ideal for N scale and cramped HO shells. It holds less charge, so for longer run-through use a KA3 or KA4 if you have the room.

  • SoundTraxx 810164 CurrentKeeperIII for DCC sound model train installations

SoundTraxx SoundTraxx 810164 | CurrentKeeperIII | Multi Scale

    Out of stock

The SoundTraxx CurrentKeeperIII is the smallest keep-alive module SoundTraxx has ever built — a compact 470µF power-backup that keeps your DCC locomotive running smoothly through brief power interruptions caused by dirty track, insulated frogs, or a momentary loss of electrical pickup. At just 10.1 x 6.8 x 4.2mm, it slips into the tightest installations where a full-size CurrentKeeper simply will not fit. Wired to a compatible sound or motor decoder, the CurrentKeeperIII stores enough energy to bridge short power dropouts (typically about 0.5 to 0.75 seconds), smoothing out flickering lights, stuttering motors, and interrupted sound during normal operation. It works in any scale, so it is at home in HO, N, O and beyond wherever space is at a premium. Looking for more DCC components? Browse our DCC Accessories, DCC Decoders, and the full SoundTraxx lineup. Features SoundTraxx's smallest CurrentKeeper yet — measures just 10.1 x 6.8 x 4.2mm for tight installs. 470µF capacity provides dependable short-term backup power during brief electrical interruptions. Typical hold time of approximately 0.5 to 0.75 seconds, depending on the locomotive, decoder, motor load and lighting. Bridges power loss from dirty track, insulated frogs and momentary pickup dropouts for smoother, more reliable running. Compatible with NMRA DCC Standards & Recommended Practices. Works in any scale — HO, N, O, S, G and Z. More Information Brand SoundTraxx Item Number 810164 Product Type CurrentKeeper / Keep-Alive Module Capacitance 470µF Dimensions 10.1 x 6.8 x 4.2mm Input Rating 16V or less; 100mA Scale All Scales (Multi Scale) Standards NMRA DCC Compatible Condition New FAQ What does a CurrentKeeper actually do?It is a keep-alive device. It stores electrical energy and feeds it back to your decoder when the wheels momentarily lose contact with the rails, so your locomotive keeps moving and its lights and sound stay on instead of cutting out. How is the CurrentKeeperIII different from the CurrentKeeper and CurrentKeeperII?The CurrentKeeperIII is SoundTraxx's most compact version at just 10.1 x 6.8 x 4.2mm. With a 470µF capacity it delivers a shorter hold time (about 0.5 to 0.75 seconds) than the larger units, making it ideal for small locomotives and tight installs where the full-size CurrentKeepers will not fit. Will it work with my decoder? The CurrentKeeperIII follows NMRA DCC Standards & Recommended Practices and works with decoders that provide a keep-alive / energy-storage connection. Check your decoder's documentation for the correct hookup points. What scales does it work in?Any scale. Because it is an electronic module, the CurrentKeeperIII can be installed in HO, N, O, S, G or Z locomotives wherever there is room for it. Perhaps you are familiar with this scenario: there is a digital decoder sitting on your workbench and you want to test it prior to a perhaps complex installation. But how to do this? The Profi Decoder tester makes it easy for you: simply connect the tester to your command station or the LokProgrammer. It enables you to test any decoder without exposing it to any external factors caused by the locomotive that may influence its performance. Features In order to make things as easy as possible for you, the Profi Decoder Tester is equipped with some useful features. It has all commonly used interface sockets for connecting a decoder for the smaller scale models: Besides a 6-pole NEM 651 socket and the 8-pole NEM 652 socket, it also has an 21MTC interface as per NEM 660, a PluX22 socket as well as a Next18 interface: No matter which type of decoder you have: Simply plug it in – it will fit! And that’s all there is to it! Decoders without any interface can be contacted with individual terminals.  A quality coreless motor with flywheel serves in conjunction with LEDs indicating the direction for checking the motor output: Thus it is quite easy to check on the low speed performance and the even speed of the decoder. An LED monitor informs you about the functioning of the headlights and back-up lights as well as the function outputs AUX1 through AUX6. For testing LokSound decoders we have integrated a 20 mm speaker. You may choose if the integral speaker should be switched off or if it should have 100 Ohm respectively 16 Ohm – thus the Decoder Tester is perfectly suitable for any ESU decoder generation! Two SUSI plugs facilitate the direct test of optional SUSI modules as well as the connection to another circuit board. The electrical connection to either the command station or the LokProgrammer is facilitated by a removable, 2-pole terminal block (same system as used on the LokProgrammer and the ECoS) or via two solder points. Extension Now there is an extension board that enables you to also connect our large scale decoders to the Decoder Tester. With this vast range of components your Profi Decoder Tester will soon be an indispensable aid in your workshop!
